Sharing what you have… heals you from poverty of the mind

We own material things – homes, cars, clothes, money, food, and there is an obligation, no, a mandate, to share these things with the poor.  Matthew 19:21 says “Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.”

This is a verse that Scott Neeson, a Hollywood executive took literally. He sold all he had, converted it to cash and founded the Cambodian Children’s fund.  As he puts it, “It was not a midlife crisis,” like many thought he was going through. He was clear headed and rational when he made his decision after his tour of Cambodia, where he visited the trash heaped landfill where young children as early as 4 years were rummaging for recyclables to earn a living.

The children in the landfill made a deep “impact” on him.  Scott Neeson says he had found his calling.

As a special tribute to Scott Neeson’s work and his organization we are categorizing this article under 4 Categories: Children, Education, Environment and Health, all four aspects are covered by this video.

Please share this video and page on your face book page.

Our goal is that children be helped, whether through Happy Children Happy World or through Scott Neeson’s Cambodia Children’s Fund. As long as good work is getting done, we are happy.
